Meet The Founder
Julian Addo
Founder & CEO · Minneapolis, MN
BootstrappedKnown For
Built Adwoa Beauty on the principle that the beauty industry owes Black women better: starting with a scalp serum that actually works.
The Story
Julian Addo grew up watching the beauty industry fail women of color - not just in shades, but in formulas built for hair textures that brands refused to understand. Her work as a nurse and her own natural hair journey informed Adwoa Beauty's clinical approach to scalp health and strand integrity. She launched the brand out of Minneapolis in 2018.
